The forensic analysis report tells us Summer's killer wore KGX gloves. What do we know about KGX gloves? Are they mentioned anywhere else?

Have a look at the "Mercy Hospital Staff Schedule", paying special attention to the back.

Read the "Mercy Hospital Discharge Summary" carefully.  

If you're stuck make sure you read the ad on the back of the "Mercy Hospital Staff Schedule" very carefully (including fine print!)

The hospital discharge summary mentions Luna's allergies.

Luna is allergic to latex, but we know Summer's killer wore latex gloves. We can eliminate Luna.

The relevant pieces of evidence are: Mercy Hospital Discharge Summary (mentions Luna's latex allergy), the Forensic Analysis Report (tells us that Summer's killer wore KGX gloves), and the Mercy Hospital Staff Schedule (on the back, there's an ad sponsored by KGX gloves — the ad says that KGX only manufactures latex gloves).

Make sure you've read the witness statements and police interviews carefully.

Read the 'Officer Notes' (police notebook) carefully. Is there any information in the police notebook that corroborates or contradicts what suspects told police about where they were on the morning of September 14th?

The police notebook mentions pulling over "Cynthia Artell" for speeding. Who is Cynthia?

If you're not sure who Cynthia is, read Summer's blog.

On her blog post titled 'Ouch', Summer says Harrison's sister is married to a dentist named Malcolm, and Malcolm is married to a woman named Cynthia.

Can you figure out Harrison's sisters' full name? You can't assume her last name is Lachance (because she might have taken Malcom's last name). If you're not sure, look at the Seattle Times magazine carefully.

One of the ads in the Seattle Times is for a dental practice. The practice lists "Malcolm Artell" as one of the dentists. We can infer that Harrison's sister, Cynthia, is Cynthia Artell (because we know from Summer's blog that Harrison's sister, Cynthia, is married to a dentist named Malcolm who lives in Seattle).

If you're still not sure who lied to police about where they were on the morning of September 14th, reread Harrison's witness statement and compare it to the Officer Notebook (pay attention to the part of the notebook that references Cynthia).

Harrison's witness statement says he was at his sister Cynthia's house (with Cynthia) from 9-11AM (on September 14th) and neither of them left. The police notebook says Cynthia Artell was pulled over at 10:16AM on September 14th for speeding. Harrison lied about his alibi.

Look through all the pages on Nuvo's website and pay special attention to all pictures.

There's a picture on Nuvo's website of Medina wearing the scrunchie. The scrunchie is Medina's.

The first step is to figure out who wrote the note. Compare the note's handwriting to other sources of handwriting.

The handwriting in the note matches the handwriting in Medina's witness statement. Medina wrote the note. 

On the front of the note there's a clue that references the day "we met". Can you figure out when Summer and Medina met?

Read the following blog post: "First Date". Can you connect the post to the scrunchie?

Also, the scrunchie has a zipper on it. Unzip it and see what's inside if you haven't already.

There's a blue die in the scrunchie.

On Summer's "First Date" post (on her blog), there's a picture of a game board. The board shows a blue die that matches the blue die found in the scrunchie. In the blog post, Summer says her and her date each took a "souvenir" home. We can assume that Medina took the blue die home as a souvenir and hid it in her scrunchie (we know the scrunchie is Medina's from Checkpoint #1).

We know the "First Date" post is about Medina. Can you figure out which post references when Medina and Summer met?

The "Best Day Ever" blog post references meeting a woman for the first time. The "First Date" post references the same woman. We can assume that the "Best Day Ever" post refers to when Summer met Medina for the first time.

Can you figure out when Medina and Summer met based on the "Best Day Ever" post? The post doesn't have a date, but you can cross reference it with another piece of evidence to figure out the date they met. The post mentions they met at a karaoke event. Look for another piece of evidence that references karaoke.

Have a close look at the "Seattle Times" magazine.

There is an ad for O'Malley's Oktoberfest karaoke event (2019) on the back of the Seattle Times. Can you figure out when the event was held in 2018?

The ad says the event is held on the last Saturday of September. In 2018, the last Saturday in September was on the 29th.

The clue on the note says: "mm/dd-10/". Can you use this clue to translate the date Summer and Medina met into two numbers?

Summer and Medina met on 09/29/18. Using the clue, this becomes: 09/19. The two numbers are 9 and 19.

Read the "Puzzles" section of the yearbook to determine what kind of cipher was used to encode the note.

This is a skip cipher. Read the 9th word in the note, then the 19th word (after the 9th word), then the 9th word after the 19th word etc.

Decoded, the note says: "I can't wait to travel the world with you one day."

Look at the security camera photo carefully. What building is depicted in the picture?

Check the drawing in the "Officer Notes" notebook. It looks like the building captured by the security camera.

Look at the time stamp on the security camera photo. What else was happening when the photo was taken?

The security camera photo captures Summer's office. We can confirm it's a photo of Summers's office by looking at the drawing of Summer's office in the officer notebook. The windows in the office are closed and the photo is time stamped 10:26:01.

Reread the Crime Scene Report (from Part 1). Were the windows in Summer's office open or closed when officers arrived? Approximately when did they arrive?

The Crime Scene Report says that the windows were open when officers arrived. Officers arrived shortly after the 911 call. When was the 911 caller in Summer's office? If you're not sure, check the 911 call data.

The 911 call record shows that someone called 911 at 10:25AM and reported — a minute before the security camera photo was taken. Who called 911? If you're not sure who the 911 caller is, see if their number matches up with any of the numbers listed on the witness statements.

Read the witness statement of the 911 caller. What do they say about the windows in Summer's office?

The 911 caller was Medina. The number that called 911 (see the 911 call record data) is the same number listed on Medina's witness statement.

Medina called 911 between 10:25 to 10:28AM. According to Medina's witness statement, she was walking down Yonge Street (where Summer's office is located), heard a scream, saw the windows on the top floor (where Summer's office is) were open, and ran into the building.

The security camera photo shows the windows were closed at 10:26AM. We know this photo depicts Summer's office because we can cross reference it with the picture in the Officer Notes notebook (the officer circled Summer's office). We also know this is Summer's office because the security camera is located at 315 Yonge Street, and Summer's office (Still Rock Psychiatry) is located at 314 Yonge Street. We can infer that the security camera is capturing the building across the street, which would be Summer's office.

When police arrive at Summer's office (shortly after the 911 call), the windows are open (see the Crime Scene Report).

Medina opened the windows in Summer's sometime between 10:26AM and when officers arrived. Medina was the last person to open the windows in Summer's office.
