We know Summer's killer purchased the necklace because: 1) they disposed of its receipt in a bag with other items that were used to murder Summer (like the trophy and bloody gloves); 2) the killer's DNA was found on the necklace (which matched the DNA on the bloody gloves - see the toxicology report and the forensic analysis report).

The back of the Seattle Times magazine (the ads section) has an ad for Giovanni's. Its location is 27 Melrose Street. Gordon's Trinkets is located at 29 Melrose Street (as indicated on the Gordon's Trinkets receipt).
The Gordon's Trinkets receipt shows the necklace was purchased at 2:16pm on September 9th, 2019. Ezra is messaging Marisa between 2:17pm to 2:19pm on September 9th, 2019. We can conclude that Ezra was near Gordon's Trinkets at the time the necklace was purchased.
The dating app messages show that Ezra was at or near Gordon's Trinkets between 2:15 to 2:20PM on September 9th, 2019. The Gordon's Trinkets Receipt shows that Summer's killer was at Gordon's Trinkets at 2:17PM. the same location (Gordon's Trinkets) as Summer's killer on September 9th, 2019, at the same time Summer's killer was there (between 2:15-2:20PM.) The dating app messages and Gordon's Trinkets receipt connect Ezra to the crime.
