Officer Martinez fines the suspicious bag at 10:35 AM in zone A (remember to add five minutes on as Officer Martinez noted in the margins of the patrol log). Officer Martinez was patrolling zone B from 10:20 to 10:35. From this information, we can conclude that Summer's killer disposed of the items officer Martinez found between 10:20 and 10:35 AM.

We can place Summer's killer at Highland Park sometime between 1020 and 10:35 AM. Do any suspects have an alibi for this timeframe?

Look at the cell phone data analysis and attached records. Is Medina accounted for between 10:20 and 10:35 AM?

The cell phone records show thatMedina was travelling in her car between 10:07 AM and 10:22AM.

Between 10:22 AM and 10:30 AM, the cell phone records place Medina's cell phone in the vicinity of Still Rock (we know this because of Medina's cell phone Location data, and because she connected to Still Rock's Wi-Fi).

Medina is accounted for between 10:20 to 10:30. Is there any way to account for her between 1030 and 10:35 AM?

Look at the Highland Park map.

The map shows us that Still Rock is located at least 4 miles away from Highland Park. We can reasonably conclude that Medina would not have been able to travel to Highland Park and plant evidence within a five minute timeframe. If we really want to be sure, the officer notebook mentions that the speed limit along Belmont Avenue (the road between Still Rock and Highland Park) is 25mph. It would take 9.6 minutes to travel 4 miles if you're going 25 mph, and this isn't even taking into account the time needed to get in and out of the car and dispose of the evidence (which might take even longer depending on where exactly zone A is located within the park).

We can eliminate Medina based on Highland Park map, the cell phone data analysis, and the park patrol log.

Note: We can guess that it's unlikely that Medina would have slipped off to Highland Park between 10:30 and 10:35 AM because we know she spoke to police after the 911 call was made. However, we don't know exactly when she talked to police, so while it may be unlikely that she left the scene to dispose of evidence in Highland Park (and then came back to talk to officers) we can't rule this out as a possibility without seeing the map. Hypothetically, if Highland Park was right beside Still Rock, it might have been possible for her to have slipped out to Highland Park for a few minutes before making it back to Still Rock to speak to officers (we also don't know exactly where she was interviewed, so we can't necessarily assume it was at Still Rock, although that is most likely).

Police notes mention there was no obvious weapon found at the crime scene, which suggests the killer may have taken it with them and discarded it. Where else was evidence found (and potentially discarded)?

Officer Nathaniel Martinez found evidence in the trash bin at Highland Park. We can link this trash to Summer's murder because Officer Martinez found gloves (in the trash bin, along with other items) with Summer's blood on them (which we know from the forensic analysis report).

What else did Officer Martinez find?

Officer Martinez found: a crumpled receipt, a trophy, paper towels (with blood on them), gloves (with blood on them), and a size XL black tshirt.

Summer died from blunt force injury to the head. Of these objects, the only one that could have caused severe blunt force trauma is a trophy. The trophy also makes sense because we know it's Summer's. Officer Martinez noted that the trophy said '2018 Alehouse Idol Winner' on it, and from Summer's blog, we know she won the 2019 Alehouse Idol karaoke competition at O'Malley's. Summer's killer must have either gotten the trophy from her house or her office (we dont know where she kept it), and killed her with it.

The murder weapon is a trophy.
